I have been an investment advisor for 27 years. I view myself not just as an advisor, but as an advocate for the investor. The mission of One Day In July matches my ethics and fuels my enthusiasm.
I grew up outside of Boston in a loving, working-class family of ten kids. Our parents instilled the values of hard work, education and above all compassion in all of their children, resulting in fourteen college and graduate degrees and much volunteering. I entered the University of New Hampshire as an art major and graduated in 1988 with a business degree. I bring a bit of both disciplines to my career as a financial advisor.
I've lived on the New Hampshire seacoast since 1999, helping to raise three wonderful and active sons: Jack, Owen and Will. With one in college (Virginia Tech) and two at Exeter High School, life as a busy dad is hectic but joyful. When not watching hockey or lacrosse games, I can be found surfing at Jenness Beach or skiing in the White Mountains.
After a successful career at two of the largest investment firms in the world - twenty-one years at Merrill Lynch, three at Wells Fargo Advisors - advising individuals and corporations on investment matters, I am excited to be part of One Day In July, a firm that serves clients in an ethical and transparent manner. My business motto is: "Lowering fees, raising standards." Each client is an individual, with a unique story, set of goals, and portfolio. I understand my clients' needs and goals, and they know that I devote quality time to get them where they need - and want - to be.
I deeply value helping my community. Currently, I am involved with the following organizations:

In 2001 I fulfilled a childhood dream when I competed on the game show "Jeopardy." I am also an avid surfer - even during the NH winter!
