Vermont Financial Planner

One Day In July Financial Planning Services

The core elements of our financial planning approach

One Day In July offers clients general financial planning advice. Through this service, your financial advisor can help you better understand your unique financial situation and goals, focusing on helping you budget, save, and invest in ways designed to maximize your potential wealth in the long run, while minimizing day-to-day financial stress. In addition to optimizing savings and investments, financial planning objectives may include evaluating client resources, identifying financial time horizons and tolerance for risk, and review and consideration of issues such as needed cash flow, major purchase decisions, college planning, retirement planning, charitable giving planning, and tax consequences of financial decisions. From time to time, One Day In July refers complex financial planning cases to a third-party financial planner.1

Financial Planning stems from habits and behaviors

Through a careful process of building a trusting relationship with you around your financial needs and goals, educating you about your options, and guiding you towards sound financial health, your financial advisor is committed to helping you improve your financial well-being to better support you and your family today and into the future. We teach our clients that financial integrity is beyond product. It stems from instilling good habits and behaviors, increasing savings, and opening up your awareness of your unique relationship with money.

The scope of our financial planning advice

It is important to note that One Day In July does not offer trust planning, estate planning, complex insurance analysis, or accounting services. We can refer clients to other professionals who provide the services that we do not offer. Our general financial planning advice, as described above, is included within the scope of service for our investment advisory clients that request it. There is no separate fee for general financial planning advice.

1When One Day In July (“ODIJ”) refers clients to third-party financial planners or other professionals, ODIJ does not receive any compensation for these referrals. ODIJ recommends that its clients regularly consult with their tax advisors prior to and throughout their engagement of ODIJ with respect to both financial planning strategies and investment of their assets.
