Happiness

I ran across this quote online in early 2022:

“Culture is like the air we breathe.”
I live in a medieval village in the north of Italy. The map is not a real description of the place, but an imaginary representation of the places I love. Since the beginning of the pandemic, due to travel restrictions, I have spent a lot of time walking around the town with my son, an adorable child with Down syndrome. This gave us the opportunity to slow down and enjoy what we have always taken for granted: the deep shade of a big tree after a long walk, the nice smell of freshly cut grass or a picturesque view. More than ever, culture is like the air we breathe and we don’t notice it until it’s gone.
— Franca Morsiani; Bagnacavallo, Italy

Happiness at home cannot be ignored. It is culture. It is life.

Yet we have a deep desire to do excellent work. To build an investment service that is not 10% better than competitors, but ten times better. How to resolve these two ideas? How can you both enjoy the fun of winning at work, but have a strong home life at the same time?

This gets answered in different ways. But know that we are asking these questions.
